Indy Gets Ink In 'Drome 139
Watch your mailbox for the new issue of the official publication
of the Fight In The Skies Society, "AERODROME." Not only should you be a subscriber to 'DROME anyway (slackers should hang
their heads in shame here), but if you're not you're missing the write-up for the Society's Spring Mini-Con.
As reported in ISD Volume 14, Number 7, the Indy Squadron
turned out in force for the Spring Mini-Con, with local player Stephen Skinner winning the event. Additionally, 'DROME 139
credits the Indy Squadron with postponing Red Baron Fight XIII to help clear the weekend so that the Society could hold
the event. Indy players Barton Stano and Stephen Dale Skinner are even pictured in the magazine write-up.
So check your mail and be sure to see the latest issue of
AERODROME. And if you're not a subscriber, remember that a full year is available for only $12, and your subscription helps
support Dawn Patrol. Join the Society and subscribe to AERODROME by clicking the link below:
August 10 Gaming Depends On You!
Rick Lacy has taken the reigns and gaming for August 10th
is ON! Not only will Rick host the event at his house, he's put forth a great effort to get things kick started by sending
out a round of emails and urging people to come.
In addition to Rick, Bart has confirmed that he will be playing
that day. Since the Skinner family (all of them) is out of town that weekend, having four players is not a given. Rick still
needs two more players to commit to that day for gaming, and I'm sure he would appreciate knowing in advance that you're going
to be there.
Email Rick your intentions at rlacy40@hotmail.com, and make plans to join them for gaming on Saturday, August 10th
at 10am!
Thanks to Mark Saint Cyr!
New Editor Keeps Ace/Experienced Pilot List
Alive
Just a quick tip of the hat to DP player Mark Saint Cyr, who
took over from Graham Cox as the editor of the prestigious FITS Society Ace and Experienced Pilot Listing.
Everyone looks forward to it every year, and over the past
several years Graham had expanded the List and taken it to new heights. However, he was unable to continue his commitment
this year, and at the last moment Mark Saint Cyr stepped in to do the job.
Despite many late entries from many players and an overall
shortage of participation this year, Mark did an outstanding job and his work is appreciated. Everyone always looks forward
to seeing the List and it's one of the most popular features of AERODROME every year. It can also be a thankless job, so the
Indy Squadron would like to take this opportunity to thank Mark for ensuring that this year's List would exist, and to Graham
for making it as detailed and enjoyable as it is in it's current format.
